Martin “Blast” Zubia

El Paso-born and -raised,  Zubia works in the Downtown Arts District of El Paso. In his early years, he experimented with graffiti art, and since then, he has included aspects from the street into his work. Later in life, he attended the University of Texas at El Paso, which improved his methods and skills, influenced his work, and helped him develop a hybrid style that combined elements of fine painting and street art. Among the various themes he employs in his art are street culture and graffiti.
